On Call Agreement - Field

Expectations & Understandings

Due to the fact that AirBridge Broadband operates 24/7 (much like a Labor and Delivery unit at a hospital), we have devised an “on call” schedule to ensure that all outages and other network issues are addressed expeditiously.
Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, the following will apply for those who have agreed to be “on call.”
All “on call” employees will be compensated an extra $250 per pay period ($500 per month, or $6,000 per year).
All “on call” employees will be compensated a minimum of $100 each time they are required to take one of their “mobile warehouses” to respond to an “on call” event.
Compensation for responding to an off hours event will be as follows: either $100, or $50 per hour, whichever is greater.
An “on call” employee can switch / trade a week that they are scheduled to be “on call.” However, it is the “on call” employee’s responsibility to switch / trade weeks with another “on call” employee, and it is their responsibility to keep the operations manager in the loop.
An “on call” employee will respond to off hours events when directed by the operations manager (or other designated person).  Technical people will review all situations first to ensure they cannot be addressed remotely, or to see if the event can wait until the next business day.
Critical events that must be responded to include all businesses, VIP’s, or other situations as determined by the operations manager (or designated person).
It is the responsibility of the person who is “on call” to be within a reasonable distance in order to respond to an emergency during their week (it is NOT advisable to be on the lake, on a shopping trip hours away, etc).
AirBridge Broadband will be responsible for paying for no less than four (4) “on call” people to be in the “on call” rotation at any given time.
If AirBridge pays for more than four (4) “on call” employees, it is to everyone’s advantage, and no current “on call” employees will be paid less.
It is the responsibility of all “on call” employees to mentor other employees so that they are capable of joining the “on call” rotation if needed.
